Day 5 AMSTERDAM / RHINE CRUISE / RHINELAND,

A morning tour of AmsterÂdam includes Dam Square
and the Tower of Tears. Later, drive past Arnhem into Germany stopping
in Cologne to see its gothic Cathedral. Then, embark on a relaxing Rhine
cruise past castles and vineyards. Disembark in St. Goar

Day 6 RHINELAND / MUNICH / INNSBRUCK,

Cross the Swabian Uplands to Bavarian Munich. An
orientation tour shows you the Olympic Stadium and Marienplatz,
with its Glockenspiel clock. Next drive to Austria and the Tyrolean
capital, Innsbruck. On an orientation tour of the city, see the
Golden Roof and Wilten Basilica. This evening, relish dinner in

Day 7 INNSBRUCK / SALZBURG / VIENNA.

A short drive this morning brings you to the splendors
of Salzburg, birthÂplace of the composer Mozart. Take a walking
tour with a local guide, including locations used in the film The
Sound of Music. Later, continue towards the Danube River and

Today journey into the heart of the Austrian Alps
past mountains and small towns to the beautiful Austrian Lake District.
ConÂtinue over the Italian border, where the Carnian Alps give
way to Northern Italy and the delights of the magical city of Venice.

This morning cross the fertile Po Valley to join
the Autostrada del Sole, traveling through the Apennine Mountains
to the “Eternal City,†Rome. The balance of the day is at leisure.
Tonight, perhaps head out and discover Rome's vibrant nightlife.

This morning’s tour visits St. Peter's
Basilica, for views of the Michelangelo’s Pieta. Then
cross the Tiber to ancient Rome and see the Forum, the Colosseum,

races. Afterwards, there is time at leisure to shop, relax in
a sidewalk café or take an optional excursion to visit the Catacombs.

Drive through the Chianti wine region of Tuscany
en route to Renaissance Florence. Here, a walking tour includes
the Cathedral, the Baptistery, Signoria Square and a visit to the Santa

galleries or explore the handicrafts quarter around Santa Croce.

Start with a drive via Bologna and Milan towards
the Italian and Swiss Lake Districts to beautiful Lugano. After

to the St. Gotthard route across the Alps. Then, on through the
